Tu Repisa
Tu Repisa is a personal page shaped like a shelf. You put up the records, films, series, books and photo albums that say something about you, and anyone with the link can take one down: a record slides out of its sleeve, a book opens on a handwritten dedication, an album turns page by page under your hand. There are no cards or captions around the objects. What there is to read is on them.
Exploring the app
My role
Solo project. Product, design and build: the shelf and its layout rules, every object as a real 3D piece, pages that follow the cursor as you turn them, editing written straight onto the object, and a photo album editor for uploading, ordering and captioning. Behind it, accounts, real catalogues and image storage.
Context
The idea was a social profile you arrange like a room instead of filling in like a form. The hard part was keeping the 3D easy to use, so every object sits on a fixed spot on its shelf, nothing floats, and turning a page feels like paper instead of a button.
