bajalo
bajalo is a Chrome extension that sits next to the address bar. When you're watching a video on X, TikTok, Loom or almost any other page, you click it and the video is saved as an MP4. No need to go to one of those sites where you paste the link and wait.
Exploring the extension
My role
Solo project. Product, design and build: the extension, the landing page and the launch on the Chrome Web Store.
Context
There are plenty of sites for downloading a video from X: you copy the link, paste it, wait. bajalo skips that step. It works almost everywhere because in a browser a video is nearly always the same thing, a request for a file, and that file can be saved. It started with X and grows with use: Loom came from the extension's own diagnostic report, TikTok from the first one someone else sent. YouTube is left out on purpose, because the Chrome Web Store doesn't allow it.
